Stephanie & Nelson

Stephanie is one the sweetest, kindest, most loving souls you could meet.  She was one of my guys’ kindergarten teachers last year and I cannot talk about her without tearing up.  I am so grateful to have her in my little guy’s life.  Stephanie nurtured and loved and encouraged Noah when he was away from me at school and her stamp is forever on his heart.  She is more of a blessing that I can begin to explain.   …..Enter Nelson who makes Stephanie’s face light up and brings out her widest smile and amazing laugh again, again, and again.  He is kind and he is FUNNY.  Oh so funny.  They.are.the.perfect.match.

We met for a sort-of mini engagement session to give them some options for a save-the-date card.  More fun times ahead in the spring with this awesome couple!

These two would spontaneously hug throughout the session.  It made me smile every time and I smiled again as I was editing the photos.  They are so.darn.cute.together!

This next one is one of my favorites!

Lauren + Drew ~ Married!

My whole heart for my whole life…..Lauren & Drew….October 28, 2012.

Lauren has held a special spot in my heart for years.  When my boys were teeny-tiny, she was the one that read to them, hugged them and tucked them in when my husband and I slipped out for a much-needed date night.  It fills up my heart to see her heart so filled up by Drew.  I adore them both and was honored, overjoyed, and very-very teary spending their wedding day with them.  {And a HUGE thank you to Tricia Williams for being my second-shooter/partner in crime for the night!}

Lauren and Drew did not want a “first look” before the ceremony — that is, until I spoke to them on speaker phone a month before their wedding, with tears streaming down my face detailing how romantic and intimate and emotionally irreplaceable a first look can be.  They started shouting through the phone, “we’ll do it! we’ll do it!”  Watching them together, soaking each other up, relaxing and enjoying each other….I stood back and cried.

Lauren, you

The beautiful bridal party!

Lauren and Drew held their wedding and reception at the Revolution Mill Studios in Greensboro.  Such a cool spot for photos (indoor and out)!

The wind whipped around all day.  Just before the ceremony the sky stilled for them.  It was beautiful.  It was perfect.
Lauren & Drew, the best part of it all….is that the BEST is yet to come.  Enjoy each other.  Appreciate each other.  Laugh with each other.  Rest in each other.  And love each other.  Today and for all days.  xoxo

Ready, Set Jump!

These boys were ON THE MOVE during our session.  My favorite part was all of the jumping off of the ledge.  Love Merritt’s big beautiful smile during it all.  The joy I get to see in other mothers’ faces fills up my heart.

Denise - Merritt you look gorgeous!!! So glad Brooke captured Tripp’s beautiful hair and Tobin’s wild smile!!December 8, 2012 – 2:59 pm
