Alex’s Family

Over a year ago, many of you prayed and helped raise money {through mini sessions} for this sweet, special family and their journey to adopt Alex from the Dominican Republic.  JT, Angie, Olivia and Bailey travelled to the DR on June 6, 2012 for what they thought would be six weeks.  Six months later, on December 6, 2012, they arrived home to the US as a family of five.  A perfect, Christ-woven, family of five.

Almost six months after arriving home to the US, I was honored to photograph their family. Together. Loving each other. Joyful. Familiar. Blessed. Perfect.

Perfect. Forever Family. Love.

I love this family

I. love. this. family.  Plain. and. simple.

Hard to believe that Paige and I have been friends for 22 years. Decades.  Life truly passes in a zip.  Their extended family got together in celebration of Paige’s mom’s {Millie’s} milestone birthday (29!).  Love that these photos will provide a constant reminder of the love this family shares and the fun they have together.  xoxo to you all!

Extended Family Love

This fun (and beautiful!) extended family invited me to join them before their backyard bbq so that we could capture some photographs of them all together. I love that they carved out time to do this, and can only imagine how much the kids will enjoy looking back on these when they are older.  Here are just a few from our time together.

Dana, Bob and Connor

Its hard to believe its been a year since Connor’s newborn photos here.  The day before these photos Connor fell and ended up with a black eye.  Dana and Bob didn’t want to postpone our session or cover up his shiner.  To them, Connor is all-boy and they wanted me to capture him just like that.  The real him.  The perfect him.  Their Connor.
