Spring Break

Spring Break.  Ahhhhh.  We loved our break from school and regular life routines last week.  My hub had to be in Boston for work, so the little guys and I decided to head to VA to visit my youngest sister and her family.  It was restful for the body and soul.

{beware, there are many personal photos in this post.  i’m having an identity crisis with my personal blog and this photography site at the moment, so you may see some lengthy personal posts while i figure out if I want to maintain one blog or two.}

My niece, Adelaide, is six months old.  She is pretty much being kissed or hugged 80% of the time.

We went to Fredricksburg one day and had lunch and chocolate shakes at a local diner/old time pharmacy.  YUM.

The boys (especially Miles, my oldest) kept saying, “let’s do a cousin shot!”  Love how much they love Adelaide.

Loved how Adelaide continually checked out her cousins, too.  {This trip served to show me that my baby, Griffin, is no where near a baby anymore.  sniff, sniff}

We had a picnic in DC on the mall and afterwards hung out at the National History Museum.  Doesn’t Adelaide wear strawberries well?

After an afternoon of walking in DC, Griffin dropped to the ground 10 steps from our parking garage and announced he was done.  Hadn’t seen him pull that stubborn of a move in awhile and Lindsey & I cracked up about it.  Figured he’d earned a piggyback to the car.

We spent the rest of our visit just hanging out, soaking in this little cutie.  Every. single. part. of Adelaide is precious.

This old green building is nearby Lindsey & Jason’s house.  It was a Ford dealership in back in the 1930′s.

We had a GREAT time, Lindsey, Jason and Adelaide!  Counting down to our summer visit already.

anne - personal vs. biz crisis. i get it. appreciate emily and lala’s model.

tricia - looks like such a wonderful time. so many smiles and so much love. wonderful job capturing it. love the adoring cousins–your boys are so cute with adelaide. and, oh, adelaide and those big blue eyes. can’t believe how much she’s grown already. makes me want to drive down to see my new niece every week. and, can’t get over lindsey’s constant and beautiful smile. she’s beaming.April 27, 2011 – 6:26 pm

Hope Bray - awe…. Brooke, she is SO SO CUTE!!! You did such a great job with her pictures! And your boys are the cutest things I have ever seen!April 26, 2011 – 6:36 pm

Kate Lee - well first…is miss adelaide really 6 months already!? what amazing shots of lindsay and her family! Adelaide in the black and whites is perfection! hope they frame those for your mom for mothers day…along with the family with the truck in the background. love that last one too. there isn’t one of your boys i like least or best…all so unique and fun! giff with adelaide spying on him stands out in my mind though. so kind of think you should ditch the old blog! and just tag these types as personal…you could even have a separate tab or drop-down that only pulls “personal”? but they would still be in the main mix ?April 26, 2011 – 5:27 pm

dao - what great pictures and memories. holy cool old truck in background and cool green building. seeing that picture of griffin lying on the ground after he was “done” totally made me want to pick him up and carry him for the next mile! can’t believe Adelaide is 6 months old already. feel like it was yesterday that i was looking at her newborn pics you took.April 26, 2011 – 4:47 pm
